A walk around the neighborhood, the water reservoir tank park.

Spring! Freshness in the air! Aside from my stupid allergy, I enjoy the spring as long as it’s not raining.  Yep! Seattle rains too much! It’s good to have an early spring this year. Hopefully I can take much more serious cherry blossom photos from University of Washington quad before the cold rain destroy them.

A Terrible Beauty Irish Pub and Restaurant

St. Patrick’s day is coming up!!! Obviously! The bar scene is inevitable.  Upon on a birthday celebration, I took her to one of the highest rating Irish bar around Seattle.

When we first walked in. The decor of the entire restaurant was visually striking. It was both traditional and authentic.

The bar area decor gives a very retro modern looks. Unique, but not American.

Pentax FA43mm Limited vs DA21mm Limited on Sony A7

It’s always a tough choice between wide angle and not so wide angle lenses.  Wide angle lenses are very good to capture the entire scene, but you are going to lose some details since you are cramming more viewing angles into the same size image sensor.  It also means you need to deal with losing sharpness around the corners.  Sure! there will always be an ultimate lens does it all! But my limited depth of pocket probably just isn’t going to cut it. Unless someone sponsor me of course 🙂

Anyway! Back to the topic..

These tests are trying to find the balance of color and sharpness on both lenses.  I have to say Pentax came a long way to make DA line-up appealing.  Lens construction fits the bill, image sharpness and color rendering are not bad either!  Although I prefer FA series for the manual focus handling and sharpness, but You can see the color differences between them.
